Two sisters, one salon —
from Jackson Square to Daigle Lane
Christy Legere and Kelly Clark — sisters — own Magnolias, and it runs like a family operation that grew up: back in 2017 the Portland Press Herald already counted fifteen stylists and about 1,200 customers a year, most of them rebooking every three to six weeks.
Nobody rebooks the same chair every four weeks out of habit. They come back because it’s their salon.
The salon’s own 2008 website put it in Jackson Square, under a tagline the sisters wrote themselves: “Creating An Experience!!” Today Magnolias fills Suite 102 at 25 Daigle Lane — a bigger room, the same experience.
Directory listings date the salon to 1996. We’re confirming that with Christy and Kelly before it goes in print — because if it holds, 2026 is Magnolias’ thirtieth year, and that belongs on the front page, not in the fine print.
